Black women are worthy of wellness, rest, and unconditional care.
These moments capture the culmination of an extraordinary 8-week journey dedicated to centering Black women's physical and mental health. Through My Time For Massage, founder and licensed massage therapist Myesha Mitchell poured back into our community, delivering weeks of consistent, restorative bodywork, intentional touch, and holistic care. Her vision created a space where healing is not treated as a rare luxury, but as essential preventative healthcare and a sustainable lifestyle.
This cohort was made possible through the dedicated partnership of BWELL Seattle, led by Executive Director Jackie Vaughn. Recognizing the connection between community wellness and collective advocacy, BWELL Seattle supported and funded this initiative, championing a movement that turns personal rest into community power.
Colman Commons was proud to host the celebratory dinner. Surrounded by art, warmth, and sisterhood, the cohort gathered around the table to honor the rest they earned and the connections they built.
To every woman who participated: thank you for trusting the process, choosing yourself, and filling your cup so you can continue to pour into the world.
