Yes. Clients may bring their own licensed and insured caterers. Caterers must bring licenses, follow all venue requirements, and leave the kitchen and prep areas clean at the end of the event.

Alcohol may be served with prior approval. Clients must use a licensed and insured bartender or beverage service and obtain any required permits. Alcohol service must follow Washington State and venue regulations. No self-service alcohol is permitted.

Clients may use their own approved, licensed, and insured vendors. Colman Commons can also provide a list of preferred vendors for catering, beverage service, photography, entertainment, rentals, décor, and event production.

Yes. We encourage prospective clients to schedule a venue tour before booking. Tours are available by appointment and can be requested through the Colman Commons website or by contacting our team directly.

Yes. Vendor loading and unloading can be coordinated in advance. Because Colman Commons is located downtown, vendors should confirm their arrival time, vehicle size, and loading needs with the venue team before the event.

Yes. Depending on the type and size of the event, clients may be required to provide a certificate of insurance naming Colman Commons and any required affiliated parties as additional insureds. Specific coverage requirements will be included in the rental agreement.

Yes. Decorations are allowed with prior approval. Nothing may be nailed, screwed, stapled, or permanently attached to walls, floors, ceilings, artwork, or fixtures. Glitter, confetti, open flames, smoke, and materials that may damage the venue are not permitted unless specifically approved. All decorations must be removed at the end of the event.

Rental inclusions vary by package but may include access to the selected event rooms, standard setup and breakdown time, WiFi, basic tables and chairs, prep kitchen access, and an on-site venue representative. Cleaning, security, production, additional staffing, rentals, and extended access may be charged separately.

Yes. Street parking, nearby paid parking garages and lots, and public transportation options are available in the surrounding downtown Seattle and Pioneer Square area. We recommend that guests allow additional time for parking, particularly during major downtown events.

Capacity depends on the room configuration, seating plan, production footprint, and event style. The venue can accommodate approximately 200 guests for a standing reception and approximately 80 guests with additional seating or production equipment. Final capacity will be confirmed based on the approved floor plan.
